Drywall and Insulation
Replacement of water-damaged drywall, insulation, ceilings, texture, and interior wall finishes after the structure has been properly dried.

Professional repair and reconstruction after water extraction, mitigation, and structural drying have been completed by a qualified mitigation company.
Once the water has been stopped and the property has been professionally dried, Urban Construction takes care of the rebuilding. We restore damaged interiors, repair structural components, and help homeowners and commercial property owners move from mitigation to a properly finished space.
Urban Construction provides reconstruction after water mitigation. We do not perform emergency water extraction or structural drying. If active water is entering your property, first contact a plumber or qualified water-mitigation company.

From Damage to a Finished Space
Water damage can leave a property dry but far from complete. Flooring may be removed, drywall may be opened, cabinets may be damaged, and rooms may no longer be usable. Urban Construction manages the reconstruction phase, bringing the affected areas back together with coordinated repairs, clear communication, and professional finishing.
Whether the damage affected one room or multiple areas of the property, our team evaluates the remaining conditions, develops a detailed reconstruction scope, and completes the work required to make the space functional and comfortable again.

Our Water-Damage Reconstruction Process
Before reconstruction begins, the source of the water must be corrected and a qualified mitigation company must complete water removal and structural drying, then confirm that the property is ready to rebuild.
Urban Construction evaluates the exposed and damaged areas, reviews available mitigation documentation, and identifies the work needed to rebuild the property.
We prepare a detailed scope covering labor, materials, trade coordination, finishes, and any visible repairs required based on the conditions present at the time of inspection.
When applicable, we review the property owner’s mitigation documents, photographs, insurance estimate, or adjuster scope to identify visible differences between the proposed reconstruction and the work actually required. The property owner remains responsible for insurance approvals and payment obligations.
We determine whether permits or inspections are required and help the property owner select flooring, paint, cabinets, tile, fixtures, trim, and other replacement materials.
Our team coordinates framing, mechanical trades, insulation, drywall, flooring, cabinetry, painting, and finish work according to the approved project scope.
We inspect the completed work, address applicable final items, and complete a walkthrough with the property owner.
Working with Insurance-Related Projects
Water-damage projects often involve a mitigation company, an insurance adjuster, the property owner, and a reconstruction contractor. Urban Construction can review the available reconstruction scope and provide a detailed proposal based on the conditions we observe.
We can document visible reconstruction requirements and communicate scope-related information when authorized by the property owner. Insurance coverage, claim decisions, deductibles, depreciation, and reimbursement amounts are determined by the insurance carrier and the policy, not by Urban Construction.

Pricing Guidance
Reconstruction costs depend on the affected area, depth of demolition, materials being replaced, structural repairs, mechanical work, permit requirements, and the level of finish selected. A project involving drywall and paint will cost considerably less than one requiring subfloor repairs, cabinetry, tile, plumbing, or complete kitchen or bathroom reconstruction.
Urban Construction provides project-specific pricing after evaluating the property and reviewing the completed mitigation work. The reconstruction estimate does not include emergency water removal, drying, environmental testing, or services performed by the mitigation company unless specifically stated.
Areas We Serve
Urban Construction provides post-mitigation water-damage reconstruction throughout the Triangle, including Cary, Raleigh, Apex, Durham, Morrisville, Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina, and surrounding communities.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. We do not provide emergency extraction or structural drying. A qualified mitigation company should stop the water source, remove standing water, dry the structure, and confirm that reconstruction can begin.
You may contact us while mitigation is underway so we can discuss the upcoming reconstruction. Physical rebuilding begins after mitigation is complete and the affected areas are ready for construction.
Yes. Depending on the approved scope, we can coordinate cabinetry, countertops, flooring, tile, drywall, painting, plumbing fixtures, electrical work, and other construction required to restore the room.
Yes. We can inspect the property, review available documentation, and provide a reconstruction proposal. Coverage and reimbursement decisions remain between the property owner and the insurance carrier.
We work to create a cohesive finished result. Exact matches cannot always be guaranteed when existing flooring, cabinets, tile, paint, or trim have been discontinued or have changed with age. When an exact match is unavailable, we present practical replacement options.
Urban Construction does not advertise standalone mold remediation. If suspected mold or environmental contamination is present, appropriate testing or remediation may be required before reconstruction begins.
We provide priority callbacks for water-damage reconstruction inquiries during normal business operations. For active leaks or standing water, contact a plumber or emergency mitigation company immediately.
