Project Review
We review the property, plans, objectives, budget expectations, target schedule, and known constraints. If drawings are incomplete, we identify what is needed before reliable construction pricing can be established.

General Contracting
Complex construction projects involve multiple trades, materials, inspections, decisions, and schedules. Urban Construction provides general contracting and project coordination for residential and commercial improvements throughout the Triangle.

Central Responsibility
We serve as the central point of responsibility for the defined construction scope, helping owners move from plans and ideas to an organized, completed project.
General Contracting Services
Our General Contracting Process
We review the property, plans, objectives, budget expectations, target schedule, and known constraints. If drawings are incomplete, we identify what is needed before reliable construction pricing can be established.
Existing conditions, site access, utilities, structural requirements, jurisdictional approvals, owner-supplied items, and trade responsibilities are evaluated.
The project is organized into a written scope with inclusions, allowances, exclusions, payment terms, and assumptions. Pricing may be refined as drawings and selections develop.
Permits, schedules, submittals, long-lead materials, trade sequencing, site logistics, and communication procedures are established.
We coordinate the defined work, participating trades, deliveries, site conditions, inspections, progress, and owner decisions throughout construction.
Revisions, added work, or concealed conditions are documented with their schedule and cost impact before proceeding whenever practical.
We review the completed work, manage final completion items, coordinate applicable final inspections, and provide available closeout information relevant to the project.
Investment Planning
General contracting is priced according to the complete construction scope rather than as a single universal rate. Smaller coordinated renovation projects may begin around $25,000 to $50,000, while structural renovations, additions, buildouts, and multi-trade projects can range from $100,000 to several hundred thousand dollars.
Plans, existing conditions, trade requirements, material selections, permits, schedule constraints, and owner-supplied work all affect the price. Urban Construction reviews those factors before providing a detailed proposal.
General Contracting FAQs
We may provide early budgeting, but a reliable proposal requires sufficient plans, specifications, and selections.
This may be possible, but responsibilities, scheduling, insurance, inspections, and warranty boundaries must be clearly defined before construction.
Urban Construction coordinates permits within the agreed project scope. Requirements and review times are controlled by the applicable jurisdiction.
